A long service life and maintenance-free period will depend on the following factors: normal operating conditions, maintenance of a harmonious temperature/pressure ratio, and reasonable corrosion data.
Pressurized fluid still exists inside the valve body when the ball valve is closed.
Before servicing: Relieve line pressure and leave the valve in the open position; disconnect the power or gas supply; disengage the actuator from the bracket.
It must be ascertained that the upstream and downstream pipelines of the ball valve have been relieved of pressure before disassembly and dismantling operations can be carried out.
When disassembling and reassembling, care must be taken to prevent damage to the sealing surface of the parts, especially non-metallic parts, and it is advisable to use special tools to take out the O-ring.
The bolts on the flange must be tightened symmetrically, gradually and evenly during assembly.
Cleaning agent should be compatible with the rubber parts, plastic parts, metal parts and working medium (such as gas) in the ball valve. When the working medium is gas, gasoline (GB484-89) can be used to clean metal parts. Non-metallic parts cleaned with pure water or alcohol
Non-metallic parts should be removed from the cleaning agent immediately after cleaning, not a long time soaking
After cleaning need to be washed wall surface cleaning agent evaporation (can be used without soaking the cleaning agent of the silk cloth to wipe) for assembly, but shall not be left for a long time, otherwise it will be rust, dust contamination
New parts should also be cleaned before assembly
Assembly should not allow metal shavings, fibers, grease (except for the use of regulations) dust and other impurities, foreign objects, such as pollution, adhesion or stay on the surface of the parts or into the inner cavity, if there is a micro-leakage of the packing occurs, the stem nut must be re-locked.
